 POMPEROSER Defined In 1942, historian Dr. Thomas Clark attempted to explain why Kentucky Colonels are so proud, optimistic and on occasion flamboyant. “As to the Kentucky Colonel”, Clark wrote, “he might well be labeled American pomperoser.” As we searched for a name for the Honorable Order’s newsletter a few years ago, the “name” just seem to fit perfectly. |
